St Moritz city guide
St Moritz, a sunny swiss destination for your next holidays
Switzerland’s St Moritz, known as the Alpine Metropolis, is a glamorous resort town in a wonderful location on a lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains. It boasts 322 days of sunshine and year-round activities: Skiing, hiking, glacier walks, spas, tennis, golf, shopping and dining galore!
When you are there
St Moritz is the oldest town where winter tourism in the Alps started, back in 1864. Since then, the town developed a whole range of hotels, winter sport structures and events.
St Moritz did organize twice the Winter Olympics, in 1928 and 1948. It is also a great place for Alpine skiing, snowboarding and bobsleigh. Every year, in November, the world’s oldest Bobrun piste is made up by ice sculptors along a natural track. But when the Summer comes, it also becomes a great place for horse races and international sailing championships.
Holidays in St Moritz bring a good mix of fresh air and physical activities.
