Point to point tickets are the best option for any journeys between two cities. For example you might be travelling from Rome to Milan with Trenitalia or from Barcelona to Madrid on the AVE.

Single country or a region
You may just be exploring one country and getting to know it really well. Maybe you’re doing a tour of the lakes in Switzerland – check out the Swiss Pass.
Or perhaps you want to discover the green countryside all over the UK. Getting a Britrail Pass gives you the freedom to travel for 30 days.

If you’re a fan of Scandinavia and want to explore the design in Copenhagen or the archipelago of Stockholm before heading to Oslo get the Scandinavia Pass. There are many more passes – think of the country you want to visit and there will be a pass to suit you.

More than two countries
If you’re planning on visiting a few countries in Europe then it’s worth checking out the Eurail Select Pass. This pass gives you flexible travel between three, four and five bordering countries in Europe and discounts on activities, places to eat and stay in the cities you visit. With this train pass you could explore Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Italy and Switzerland all in one trip. There are many other train itineraries too.

More than five countries
If you have a bit more time and want to pack in as much as possible on your trip, the Eurail Global Pass is the best option. This pass gives travellers the flexibility and freedom to make unlimited trips to up to 24 countries in Europe - in any order.
You can pick a different country to see every few days and jump on and off all the different rail networks. The Eurail Global Pass really is an adventure waiting to happen.

Which trains will I travel on?

Rail Europe has access to the enormous rail network across Europe. Here are some of the major operators you could be travelling with during your trip.

Eurostar
Eurostar is the ideal way to travel from London to Paris, Disneyland Paris, Lille and Brussels.

TGV
TGV] famous high speed trains whisk passengers all over France and beyond to the mountains and lakes of Switzerland on the TGV Lyria.

Thalys
These distinctive Thalys high speed red trains travel at up to 300km/h and connect Brussels, Amsterdam, Cologne and Paris.

Trenitalia
The Italian train network has international links to Spain, Hungary, Slovenia and Switzerland. Within Italy, the high speed Frecciarossa trains help travellers explore the country’s rich culture.

Renfe
From Barcelona to Seville, Madrid to Barcelona, the AVE high speed trains on the Spanish rail network are a delight to travel on.
