Reviews & ratings Aachen - Brussels
My husband and I travelled from London to Germany by train as first time rail users in Europe. We were on a Eurail pass. We were unable to reserve seats between Bruxelles and Germany on the Dbahn site as they were cross-border, so used RailEurope for the seat bookings. We discovered that while it is possible to reserve seats on ICE trains it is by no means essential as there were many vacant seats, especially in First Class, and people just shuffled around if necessary.
