The coffee shops of Amsterdam are widely popular. The reason is simple, it one of the few cities in the world to allow pot smoking. Hence many visitors drop in one of the famous coffee shops in Amsterdam to experience how it feels to smoke and have a drink. This may sound shocking, but some studies show that this has wiped out drugs trafficking. In Amsterdam, coffee shops are not allowed to sell to anyone under 18 and hard drugs are strictly prohibited.

Reviews & ratings Amsterdam - Paris
Me and my wife had an enjoyable trip with Thaly's train. The ride was enjoyable. The food should have been served warm. The seats (for two) were facing backwards! Which in the website were not specifically mentioned. Otherwise we would have booked forward facing seats. Next time we I would ask Thalys if we could book forward facing seats before finally booking. In summary, we had a very good experience with Thalys and the taxi booking service provided after the trip.
From booking on line to travel the whole experience was seemless and pleasurable. thank you.
Our first European train trip. Worked like clock work after a little orientation work. Would thoroughly recommend this journey. Book through the local rail network. Savings by picking specified date and time of journey.
Our train left on time, was comfortable and quiet
Great journey through Netherlands, Belgium and Northern France. Everything went smoothly, and we were surprised to receive complimentary snacks, something that didn't happen on any other train, despite travelling First Class.
Pre-booked tickets from Australia and had a comfortable trip with our family of 3 young children. Loved the ability to charge devices and the snacks and drinks that were offered. Friendly service and a great trip.
Good to be prebooked as don't have the worry of purchasing tickets when you arrive. Good trip arriving 15 minutes later than scheduled.
I booked my train travel online in Australia and found the whole experience to be simple. When arriving at Amsterdam Central it was easy to find the platform and the train was clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I will definitely travel this way in Europe again.
An easy, fast, simple and hassle free way to travel from one country to another. Definitely recommend it!
The only negative is the lack of assistance for handling luggage. We all were told that a person would be on each carriage to take our luggage but this was not the case. We then were left having to put it in racks above us. Very difficult for the elderly and not expected in 1st Class. Otherwise it was comfortable and pleasant. The hostess was regularly serving meals and refreshments and always attentive.
This was our second experience with Eurorail, we found travelling class 1. A very gratifying experience, with excellent service, and extreme comfort. Can only say we wish that all Australians could experience this mode of travel, in comfort and style, and then maybe we could pressure our Government, to invest in a Very Fast train, from Melbourne to Sydney and onwards to Brisbane.
My wife and I recently travelled by train from Amstefdam to Paris Nord and it was very relaxing. This is s great alternative to flying and at the start/end your leave/arrive right in the centre of the city. And if you plan ahead and book early it can also work out cheaper. The only problem I had was getting wi-fi on the train. We travelled 2nd class and needed to pay which was OK by me, but it is not easy to get access. In the end I gave up and read my book. Other than this issue, we had no problems and recommend this train.
Very friendly and efficient staff, we didn't realise meals were included.
We travelled from Amsterdam to Paris and enjoyed the ease of booking, the comfort in the train and at a very economical price. We would definitely use Raileurope for any future rail bookings.
