Reviews & ratings Barcelona - San Sebastian
The train was redirected so bypassed Pamplona and added an extra hour to the trip.No forewarning given in English. Only a problem for us because we were travelling with a toddler who wouldn't sleep. Otherwise the trip was good. Nice scenery.
Not a high speed train but comfortable. The departure time we selected was 1400 h so arrival in Barcelona hotel was 2230hours. Maybe take an earlier train if possible.. Plenty of taxis at 2230 in Barcelona
Staff at San Sebastian were very friendly and helpful. Train is a bit slow and takes six hours. However it is comfortable and there were no security issues at San Sebastian. Not particularly scenic but fine all the same.
We were 3 adults travelling 2nd class. The 6 hour journey was comfortable, the train was clean and it ran exactly to schedule. All staff we dealt with were friendly and professional. Can't really ask for more than that!
The train was modern, clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for our luggage. Restrooms were clean, although very small. There was a range of food and drinks available for purchase. Overall, a very pleasant journey that didn't feel too long.
Seats could have been more comfortable and wifi would have been really good. Food was pretty average and I could not see the real difference between normal and first class which we paid for
We found the high speed trains to be efficient and comfortable. Train stations are easy to get to (close to city). There was no hastle in checking in we just had to arrive at the train station 20 minutes before the train arrived. So easy and so comfortable. A lot more comfortable than airplanes. We have now found our new way of travelling in Europe - no more airport hastle for our family.
Efficient service. No lenghty check in times and comfortable journey with food available. Nice to have official on board checking tickets and seating. Only downsize was managing getting on and off train with reasonable suitcase approx. 15 KG. Big space between platform and train steps.
Comfortable and on time. Quick train.
Very comfortable trip. We had plenty of leg room, much more comfortable than an aeroplane. We also got to see some of the countryside which was a bonus.
