Reviews & ratings Bayonne - Bordeaux
The train was easy to find, as was assigned seat. Roomy seats. Clean carriage. Others on train were respectful of each other.
It's important to point out that travelling on French railways can be a great way to get around but also frustrating because of having to carry your suitcases up and down staircases to get to the platform Also the custom of not posting which platform your train is leaving from until a few minutes before boarding time often means running to catch the train With long trains that are stopping for only a couple of minutes it is important to check the screens on the departure platform to see the composition of the trains otherwise you may find yourself on the correct platform but a very long way from your designated carriage. Also there never seems to be enough storage for luggage so you really need to think small in order to heave your case up onto the overhead rack.
