    Venice

Venice is a unique experience for every traveller and certainly a must for lovers. Few people know that Venice is actually an island-city with a train bridge connecting it to mainland Italy. This romantic city actually has no roads at all! To move around there are 150 canals and over 400 bridges! Venice has also beautiful churches, squares and museums. The southern part of the Venice has a certain village feel. Perfect to wander around in the little alleys, get lost and finally reach the Santa Margherita square. Ideal place for its lively bars!

Reviews & ratings Bologna - Venice

  • "Great Journey"
We enjoyed our journey from Bologna to Venice, the airconditioning on this train worked better than the Salerno Bologna train.
  • "Italy by train"
It was our first trip to Italy where we used Italian trains. We found the train travel very enjoyable.. All trains ran on time, they were clean and very comfortable. I would definitely use them again.
  • "The only way to travel"
Once we found the new station at Bologna (station 18) in the new building and at level -5, all was OK, the train was very nice and comfortable, very fast trip to Florence, no stress, very pleased with the results.
  • "Short "
Another terrific experience on Trenitalia - train on time, quick trip, highly recommend
  • "convenience"
The service was excellent - however, I pre-booked the ticket from o/seas with a reserved seat and a very well-dressed local was sitting in my seat. It was uncomfortable to stress that it was my seat and while I eventually gained the seat, she spoke to locas in Italian, obviously about me, which made me feel very uncomfortable for the entire trip, despite me being very polite in requesting the seat and even apoolgising to her that it was my seat, necessitating me showing my ticket.
  • "Fast and comfortable"
We have very pleasant experience with our recent train trips in Italy; we have traveled between Venice - Florence, Florence-Bolongna, Bolongna-Rome on the high speed trains. The cabin has been very modern, clean with comfortable and large seats, and the foods from the on-board kitchen were reasonable priced. The staff including conductors were friendly, although some of them only speak limited English (but hey, this is in Italy). The train system in Italy is more friendly for passengers than in France, you are allowed to get on the train without showing tickets, which are randomly inspected by the onboard conductors. Fast, comfortable, reliable, and in-expensive way of travel in Italy!
