Reviews & ratings Budapest - Munich
Very Good Trip.. There could be more information supplied with tickets as to what to do at stations, for us having traveled there from Australia . Budapest station had limited personal and signage to direct us to our train. No one to check tickets or verify that we were on the correct train. Tickets not checked until the train was well under way a little daunting as the tickets were not refundable or transferable ie miss it you lose it. A very helpful non English speaking baggage handler, after looking at our tickets took control and escorted us to our train on the other side of the station from the taxi rank and made sure we were safely aboard, the best spent 10 Euros ever. Train very comfortable and on time.
Trains are clean comfortable and frequent. Being able to access timetables, travel time, fares, and to book and receive tickets prior to leaving Australia adds to the convenience. With well equiped stations in the city centre, travel between cities in Europe by train is so much more convenient than having to travel out of the city to an airport, and then wait for luggage on reaching your destination.
