Reviews & ratings Cordoba - Seville
My wife and I recently (Oct 2015) travelled in Spain and made use of three separate train trips in Andalusia. All tickets were pre-purchased online using the Raileurope.com.au website. The process was seamless having printed the E tickets at home before leaving. Train travel is so fast, comfortable and convenient I would highly recommend it over flying within Spain to anyone.
Fast and efficient service. Thank you
I found the fast Ava trains in Spain a fantastic and reasonably cost way to get around Spain.
Good fast travel. A little expensive.
Wish distance travel and trains in general were as good in Aust as they are in western Europe
I found the trip very enjoyable especially the scenery and the comfortable seats with plenty of leg room. I also enjoyed accessing the cafe for light refreshments.
efficient; well connected to metro or bus; ride - chairs a little uncomfortable, but roomy; audio not ideal for English tourists (I could only get Spanish language); very good service on train
train wa on time and comfortable
I recommend travelling by Renfe
Travelling on high speed trains is a fabulous easy way to get around Spain. Checkin is easy, security quick and seats comfortable It would bed good to have a seat map available so you can choose your seats however. On a couple of our journeys, we had no window at our seat which we were disappointed with
loved every minute of the trip
The AVE train departed and arrived on time, was convenient and comfortable. Highly recommended. Rail Europe were very helpful
Reliable, very comfortable
The trains are clean and efficient. It is a very quick journey between Madrid and Segovia. The only issue at all is that the town centre is about 20 mins or so from the station, so you have to transfer your luggage to a crowded bus to get there. Otherwise, you can take a taxi, which adds considerably to the overall cost. Going by bus might therefore be a slightly better option option if you are a family or have a lot of luggage and are on a budget. However, the journey will be a lot longer.
The AVE bullet trains are relatively new and comfortable. We travelled the last leg of the Barcelona to Seville route so we had no room for our luggage. Luggage space on the train is limited. I recommend traveling in first class as there is extra space between seats for one suitcase. If you board the train at the beginning of a route get to the platform early so you can be first on and ensure there is space for your suitcase. Spanish trains are well run and efficient.
