Travel inspiration in Frankfurt and Basel
Frankfurt, the largest financial centre in Europe
Captivating contrasts await you in Frankfurt, the home of Goethe and Apple Wine. The Museum Embankment at the Main River is unique for the German cultural scenery.
Basel, known as Switzerland’s capital of art and culture, is located in the heart of Europe, just south of Germany and next to the Alsace region in France. It can be the perfect base to visit three European countries in one go.
Reviews & ratings Frankfurt - Basel
We love to travel by train/ICE in Germany.. We traveled second class recently as we were trying to stretch our money. The trains were always on time even during the recent floods, We had some problems finding our coach but by the end of our travel we had it right. I really wished the coffee card would have gone through the train more often. We had a very pleasant experience traveling by train in Germany and I would highly recommend train travel.
Berlin HBF is new, clean and efficient. Waiting for the train was easy as there are lots of shops and food options and the toilets are very clean (as all were throughout Germany). The train was also very clean, the staff were good, and it left and arrived on time.
