Reviews & ratings Paris - London
A fast, quiet, smooth, and convenient trip from Central London to Central Paris. The only issue we had was getting a coffee from the dining car. Only one person it seems for the entire train and took forever to get a coffee. Alan C. Melbourne, Australia
Being able to leave London so early in the morning 6.00am enabled us to have a whole day more in Paris. Arriving in the heart of Paris was convenient plus as accommodation was within walkingin distance. All attractions were near by. The ride was smooth , the seating comfortable, room to snooze if you wished and a café care to top up on drinks etc. Wide windows allowing the views to be seen and enjoyed both sides of the channel. All in all a very enjoyable start to the Holiday.
This was a very easy way to travel and comfortable way to travel. Great not having all the hassles of getting to and from the airport. Traveling by train meant that you leave and arrive right in the centre of the city. No waiting for luggage at arrivals either. Trains very clean and punctual. I would travel this way again
The departure process took a lot longer than expected from Paris, so we only made the train with a few minutes to spare. The service was punctual and well run, however a little more luggage space would be nice. Overall, good value for money and much more convenient than travelling by plane.
Getting to St Pancras by car difficult - catch the train. A great way to travel right to heart of Paris. Luggage space for larger bags a bit limited.
After waiting at so many airports on my trip, the train was a welcome relief. Fast, efficient, comfortable, my 3rd time on train and would recommend to anyone.
Our seats were in Standard Premier and the service we received was great. Would highly recommend this train as an option rather than flying from Paris to London. Even with the high speeds reached the train travelled smoothly. One of the better train rides we experienced during our trip to Europe.
Excellent trip. Very comfortable.
The Eurostar was travel fast and smooth , comfortable sitting .
An extremely smooth speedy trip without the hassles associated with air travel. It was so much easier dealing with both UK and French customs, security, passport control etc. at the one time. A welcome surprise was the tasty meal served. I was not aware that meals were offered. What a thoroughly worthwhile service. I look forward to travelling this way again.
This was a great comfy ride from London to Paris. I enjoyed the high speed train. Better then flying any day. The Paris Station is a little out of the way. So just check where you are staying.
Eurostar is a convenient and quick way to travel from London to Paris, with just a short passport check at the London station. It was easy to get to the train station and the station was easy to navigate with some good cafes and clean toilets. The only thing is the stairs you have to watch out for if arriving to the station via the tube. The train ride itself was very good - enough luggage storage space and comfortable seats... Paris was just one short sleep away!
This was my first Eurostar experience. We departed St Pancras International Station at 12:01 and arrived in Paris Gare du Nord at 15:17 local time. The security checks of luggage were quick; no lengthy queues like at airports. The train was reasonably comfortable. The seating is bearable for the journey. Legroom is not fantastic, but enough as my legs are fairly long. Certainly a larger seat and more legroom than flying economy. Their is plenty of space for suitcase storage as you enter the carriage. Total time from arriving at St Pancras in reasonable time for security checks, passport control, etc and walking out of Paris du Nord is a little over three hours. Cost 81 Euros but there were cheaper fares at other times of day and probably cheaper fares by booking in advance. Eurostar is fast, scenery interesting and sure beats the hassle of flying.
This was the best way to travel from London to Paris - easy to navigate at both ends. The train was clean and it felt like we just boarded by the time we were in Paris. It was a great way to see the countryside on the way through giving first time France visitors a good idea the country.
We booked well in advance and got a very good price.found it to be easier than catching planes. We got a good view of the country and train was very comfortable as there was a table between 4 people.would recommend as a great way to get from london to paris.
