Reviews & ratings Paris - Lyon
Enjoyed to trip from Lyon to Paris .. very comfortable and everything ran to time.
The TGV service is excellent. From the arrival at the station, to the taking of our seats on the train, through the full extent of the train trip, to terminating the trip at our destination station - all stages were excellent.
this trip was good, and comfortable. the location of the Paris CDG station is great for a relatively quick transfer.
Smooth, comfortable and on time, but the connection for our ongoing trip to Paris was tight - we only made it by a few minutes. The only downside was the fact that to access the platform at Carcassone we had to go up and down flights of stairs which with heavy luggage and at our age (77) was an ordeal. This is a real problem with all French stations and the Paris Metro - something must be done, it is unacceptable.
This was a local transfer to get to the fast train. All went well, platform easy to find, train left on time. Only thing to be aware of is there are three steps to get on the train. Can be tricky with bags by yourself.
This is a fast train
We had a lovely relaxing trip . It is extremely easy and once you have your luggage onboard the only thing to do it read a book, or iPad etc. Power is on hand and the coach is lovely and clean.
Due to the history of European railways they ensure the first class traveller on a Eurail pass has an enjoyable and comfortable journey utilising modern trains with very good service. The larger stations ensure that the non French speakers can locate their connections. The journey allowed our family to view the French countryside at ground level and thus we will probably use RailEurope for further trips abroad.
I love the TGV fast trains, as they are so efficient and comfortable to travel distances within France and beyond. Our trip from Nimes to Lyon was pleasant, and ran on time.
Fast and efficient, very comfortable, with dinning car a great facility
Good value, convenient site of station and timetable
Suited our needs at the time and was a good quick trip.
My husband and I took the train from Paris to Nice which was faster, cheaper and much more relaxing than driving.
Great trains, great service. Only complaint is lugging large suitcases up and down stairs at major stations with no elevators or esculaters.
Have used this service on earlier trips and it lived up toexpectations this time as well. On time service was important as we had to make a connection in Part Dieu, this worked to perfection with minutes to spare.
