Reviews & ratings Rotterdam - Brussels
Service was excellent. Offered breakfast which was a lovely added bonus. toilets where clean which is very important to me. Did notice someone going around to clean them. Very comfortable journey.
Whilst only half an hour this trip was on time and comfortable. I would certainly recommend the rail network to travel.
I booked a window seat online, and was angry to find I had been given an aisle seat instead (as was the case on my train journey from St Pancras to Brussels). Being denied the view of the passing countryside, I opted to pass the time by using the Free Wi-Fi on my laptop, except the Wi-Fi was so weak it was unusable. Not enough space for luggage.
There was little room to place luggage. The Internet was of low quality. I was sat opposite a fellow who was so large I could not place my legs directly under my seat. Luckily I was seated beside my young son where by I could put my legs in his seating space
We travelled with Thalys twice. Firstly from Paris Nord to Rotterdam which was great. Seats are extremely comfortable and service was great. Our trip from Rotterdam to Bruxelles was not as good. There was someone in our reserved seats and we were told to stand and wait until the train started again and then they would move them out of our seats. Not good enough. There was also luggage everywhere because they allowed people to bring more bags than they were supposed too. It was cramped and disorganised until we were able to sit in our seats.
