Reviews & ratings Angouleme - Paris
The only negative aspect of our journey was actually getting to the platform with luggage, in order to catch the train at Angouleme station as access requires going both up and down stairs. Thank goodness for the generous assistance of younger fellow travellers. Apart from that it was an excellent experience , to be recommended.
I was impressed with all aspects of the service. It was efficient, the train ran on time, was clean, provided a high standard of refreshments and all staff were polite and helpful. I will use TGV with confidence, in future, and recommend it to family and friends.
We took the TGV from Angouleme to Paris CDG Airport. So easy and convenient. First class ticket is well worth the small extra amount of money. Fast and on time, clean and very comfortable.
I found my 2nd class seat easily enough, if somewhat squeezed but then enter a person wearing long flowing robes and a crown with his entire entourage. He obviously felt his importance but there was a definite lack of seat reservations. The carriage was overcrowded and I was effectively locked in for 2 hours until they alighted at Poitiers.Next time, I will be booking in first to avoid would be royalty.
tgv great way to travel nothing much else I can say
The trip was exceptional, a pity there's no wifi available for travellers to catch up on communications with the outside world.
The train from Charles de Gaulle is convenient for our inward flight from Australia, always on time and gives us a chance to rest before we arrive in Angouleme. A great service.
Took the TGV directly from CDG to Anguoleme. A very good service, fast, on time, nice cabins, quiet and relaxing. Even made good Illy coffee in the restaurant carriage. I certainly look forward to travelling with TGV again. Thank you.
we found the rail system of tgv excellent, the carraige we were allocated was very good, our seats were comfortable and there was room for our legs and feet or any movement if you wanted to find the kiosk/bar for coffee. The train was clean, organised and on time. We have no compaints whatsoever. The only major obstacle we had was when the platform attendant indicated for us to board into the wrong carraige, and when I queried her, all of a sudden she didnt speak english, but after much effort we found our own way to the correct carraige. Apart from that the trip was excellent.
The train trip itself was comfortable but facilities at Angouleme Station were poor - the toilets were terrible. Integration with car hire outlets could also be better.
We travelled London-Avignon-Paris-Angouleme-Paris-London in a week in 2nd class and I would do it all over again. The trains were on time, they were clean and comfortable, plenty of leg room and luggage space and the staff including ticket
Was a very busy train and a some passengers were noisy. Train was on time and a good journey
