Reviews & ratings Lille - Paris
I was pleasantly surprised to find how easy it was to move around France using their TGV network. The trains were fast and very clean, with storage for luggage both overhead and at the end of the carriage for bags too large to go up.
This trip was planned to replace a drive to CDG Paris Airport and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. In just on 1 hour we went from Lille to CDG and the drop off point was so convenient to our terminal with an easy walk with all our bags. Would highly recommend to other travellers and look forward to using TGV again.
We booked for a first class ticket and it was very comfortable. Tip - if you are travelling with lots of luggage, make sure you book on a single level TGV or book on the downstairs level on a double decker TGV.
A very comfortable trip and most enjoyable. We had problem finding the First Class carriage and even when we got off there appeared to be no Carriage 2. We sat in the wrong seat in Second Class but it did not seem to matter.
this was my first experience of a public train trip in Europe, when the I don't know what I have got myself into was out of the way, it was easy and smooth and enjoyable. I had never booked anything on line before, but I managed it, and tickets and all information was received very soon afterwards.
It certainly is quicker and easier to travel by train to France from London. No waiting at airports - dead time, easy to unload, no waiting for luggage.
We missed our train to Lille and then to Paris. Staff at Lille were very good and provided us with a replacement ticket to Paris.
Train from Lille Flanders on time and straight to CDG Airport Terminal 2 which is what we wanted. Very comfortable. Bathroom could have been cleaner.
Trip Comfort, Value for money
Very happy with Comfort, price etc. Station staff very helpful.
All very Good thank you. Station staff very Helpful.
Very civilized - city to city. Shame there were no charging outlets on the train nor WiFi. They even have free WiFi on the metro service in Korea where we live.
Very comfortable journey, staff helpful and no problems re luggage. Thanks
Transfer to next train went very well and journey very comfortable. Finding way to subway station for transfer to Gare Du Nord was a bit of a hassle but managed ok.
A very comfortable and quick trip via train from Lille to Paris Nord. We recommend this travel method to all travellers.
