Travel inspiration in Munich and Innsbruck
Munich is one of the most popular destination in Europe and Germany. The city is the capital of the Bavaria state. Munich is world known for its beer and the famous Oktoberfest. Home to the BMW Welt and the FC Bayern, Munich is a city with something for everyone! More than that, Munich is an important centre for art, culture and international affairs. The city is clean, safe and has an efficient transport system. Being an open and joyful city, Munich is a leisure paradise with a splendid view over the alps. Munich is easily reached by train from Paris, Berlin and Zurich.
A picture-perfect Austrian city with Alpine appeal, Innsbruck blends lavish baroque palaces and designer boutiques with old-world taverns and glass-fronted bars. Glittering with crystals and shining slopes, it’s steeped in tradition but by no means traditional – as Bögen’s all-night parties confirm.
Reviews & ratings Munich - Innsbruck
Train journey very comfortable...only problem again...the gap between platform and train and the 3 steps up..quite challenging when you have big suite cases and being seniors.... Thank you RailEurope
What no quiet coaches on German ICE trains? Please think about it as some people are very noisy travellers and we like quiet coaches such as available on Eurostar, French TGVs and Italian fast trains!
This train was different from the others that we took during our holidays in Europe. The train has compartments. The one we were in allowed for a maximum of 6 passengers. Seats were generally comfortable but luggage space was a bit restricted especially if you were travelling with a medium sized bag and a backpack each. Other than that, the journey was enjoyable and relaxing.
