Reviews & ratings Rome - Munich
Arrived very early at Rome terminal and watched the departures board for information. Our service did NOT get listed on the board and we only managed to catch our train with 4 minutes to spare because we went and asked a train guard where our train was. Turned out our service was attached to another but those in charge didn't see any reason to advise of that fact. Hey, Italy, what else would you expect. By the way, the information people at Rome were worse than useless too. Once on board the trip was cramped but ok. Service on board was good and we got into Munich on time. All in all it was an experience and we enjoyed it.
Comfortable cabin. Friendly helpful staff. Relaxed way to travel.
Travelling by rail is better than by plane. The cabin was comfortable and we had our own sink and beds, however the booking process from Australia was terrible.
For an overnight train ride this is a pretty good way to get from Venice to Munich. The train and first class cabin are prretty good, however the food is not verry good. The ride isnt too bad because there arent no station stops between Venice and Munich, however the train stops at single rail bridges.
