Reviews & ratings Zurich - Amsterdam
Ice trains are more comfortable
Overnight sleeper, 1 st class....(you have to be organised)..an enjoyable experience but could have been better if we had known more as lack of information at time of booking on Internet as...surprised at how snug the compartment was.. Once used to the lack of space it was ok . Surprised there was no buffet car to go to and have food and drink...compartment had own sink/ water/ folding table... Toilet and shower shared by all cabins in carriage...
It was a comfortable and convenient journey. The train was bang on time and the travel was highly enjoyable. Good value for money too.
There was less luggage space on the Thalys compared to the Eurostar, also the wifi did not work for me although it did connect.
We found the carriage we were in quite grubby but the seating comfortable. Again the area for storing suitcases limited.
