"Milan to Paris - April 2013"
.
This is the second time I've travelled to Paris from Milan on the TGV. The train departs from Milano Porto Garibaldi station which is close by the Milano Centrale. My daughter and I caught the 8.50 train from Milan which arrived in Paris on time despite running about 30 minutes late at one stage. The train travels across Italy via Turin to the French Alps, which at this time of year where still covered in snow, before heading to the flatter farming land around Lyon. I certainly recommend this trip and would like to do it in reverse next time (Paris to Milan).
"Fast and convenient"
Michelle t. 04/05/2013I've always loved trains and the TGV is one if my favourites. It is fast, efficient and the service aboard (in 1st class) is excellent. Value for money Convenience
"Relaxed journey through France"
Julia h. 30/03/2013My journey on the TGV was very good, value for money and extremely relaxing. I enjoyed watching the scenery unfold. The only problem was due to weather. I left Paris on the 13/3/13 when Paris had bad snow and freezing conditions. I shivered in the Gare de Lyon with every over traveller and was delayed by 3 hours. But, apart from that I would definitely choose this mode of travel again. I have hired cars and driven through France and flown to various small towns, but I valued the convenience this time. "It was a nice journey."

"Comfortable but with delays"
Ignacio f. 25/03/2013Nice comfortable travel but long (5 hours and a half with some delays. Comfort Value for money Convenience
"Alpine beauty"
Stephen b. 18/03/2013Great trip with spectacular Alpine scenery and rolling French farmlands. Definitely worth doing in daytime rather than by the more expensive sleeper. The complimentary food in 1st class was very acceptable quality. The train ran about 20 mins late, but we still had time to catch the connecting train (needing an RER trip to another station) in Paris. Any longer however, and this would have been stressful. "Do travel by train"
Danielle c. 11/03/2013I really recommend this trip, because it takes the same time the trip by plane takes (if you count the hours spent in the airports and transfers to get to them) and it's much more lovely, because you can profit from the wonderful views all the way from Paris to Milano, and get in and out of the train in very convenient places, right in the middle of the cities. "Frances Goh "
Fernanda b. 10/01/2013Very good deals online for family of four on second class though I missed the first class deals. Scenic views of northern Italy snowing n the green meadows of south France. No disturbances, pleasant Smooth safe ride. Toilet needs more cleaning, table n side padded panel dusty. But overall, relax n worth it than taking flight Milan to Paris. Train goes into Paris central. Love it!
"Paris-Milan - TGV"
Irene g. 12/11/2012We'd purchased 1st Class tickets and found the seats comfortable, and liked the fact that we could sit back and enjoy the scenery - especially through the Alps region. The only problem we experienced was during the last 90 minutes of the journey, when a passenger in our carriage was using his mobile phone in an extremely, long, loud and animated conversation, which everyone in the carriage was subjected to. Some left to escape this irritating behaviour, but it would have been good if there was professional staff patrolling the carriages to manage such antisocial behaviour. "TGV Paris - Milan"
James g. 12/11/2012Positives - Really nice trip, comfortable and lovely views all the way, especially through the Alps. We were lucky to have seats that looked forward and out the window - in many seats people couldn't see out at all - seat allocation seems to be the luck of the draw. Negatives - Onboard food was overpriced but that is to be expected; toilets were dirty quickly and not tidied often enough. Comfort Value for money Convenience
"Clean and comfy"
Lai Nga A t. 07/11/2012Quite a scenic ride. Comfort Value for money Convenience
"The best travelling experience"
Faisal a. 04/11/2012The trip between Milan and Paris was around seven hours but it felt much less in this trip, total comfort in the train, decent service and much convenient compared to airplane and bus travel. Strongly recommend Rail europe to travel with and will surley use for my next trips in europe. Comfort Value for money Convenience

Raj d. 01/11/2012Me and my wife had a great time on the train. The carriage was neat and clean and it was fun. We have not stopped talking about it with our family and friends especially the ride through the Alps... Comfort Value for money Convenience
