About 40 km to the north east of Milan, lies the city of Bergamo. The Italian city is a place of amazing beauty, home to a rich musical past and incredible landmarks. Bergamo is divided into two quarters, the upper part and the lower part. It is one of the most visited cities the region of Lombardy.
There are many things to do and see in Bergamo. The historical museums, different kinds of churches, quality shops, well preserved piazzas and glimpse of ancient rural settlements will all amaze you. The landmarks not to missed on the upper part are the Cittadella, the Pizza Vecchia and the Bergamo Cathedral, whereas in the lower part, you have to visit the Piazza Vittoria and the Santa Maria delle Grazie.
