    Train to Biarritz | Rosemary f. | 2015/07/27
"As not being able to speak French we found it a little difficult to find the right train as there were two trains on same platform. Once sorted it was very enjoyable and easy. The server in diner most helpful. "

"Even though I had a first class ticked I had to stand up the entire journey in a crowded buffet car, as the seats were overbooked and the train was impossibly crowded. Do not try to travel by rail in France. "

    Toulouse Matabiau - Biarritz | John g. | 2013/08/08
"The booked train was cancelled however ticketing staff changed our reservations to a train departing only a little later but it required a change of trains at Bordeaux. the Toulouse - Bordeaux leg was good with reserved seats but it was difficult to determine where to position yourself on the platform when the train comprised 20 carriages but the indicator showed only 10. The Bordeaux - Biarritz train had a very small 1st class section and it appeared people just plonked themselves where ever. There was no checking for tickets on board. The train was very crowded. "

Trains the way to go | Doreen p. | 2013/07/21
"After travelling throughout Europe last year and recently, my husband and I have been extremely happy and impressed by the high speed rail system in Europe. The system is highly efficient, trains arriving on time, very comfortable and clean, arriving at your destination feeling very relaxed, not having had to wait at airports for hours and needing to go through tedious check-ins etc. Prices for tickets are very reasonable considering all of these reasons. We would highly recommend this mode of travel. "

    Biarritz - Paris express | Michael f. | 2013/06/30
"Excellent journey and very quick too. Leave Biarritz @ 07:15 and arrive at Paris Montparnasse at 13:30. You can't beat that. Same comment as always that the "seat rake" adjustment on the TGV's seats is always "very temporary" all the one's we tried needed adjusting at least once per hour. Failing that I'd award 5 Star for comfort "

    Lille - Biarritz TGV | Michael f. | 2013/06/26
"One of several intercity trips we've made over the past few weeks. Great service, the 999 kilometre (625 mile) journey only took 5.5 hours with no long waits pre and post the trip, unlike flying. Plus its city centre to city centre saving on taxi fares etc. Our only quibble is that the seat back adjustments on the TGV carriages always seem to slip. "
