The new welsh wonder

Cardiff, a 2000 years old history is waiting for you

Cardiff is known for its city-centre castle, elegant Victorian shopping arcades and smart new waterfront. The Welsh capital is beginning to define itself on the European map, not just the British one.

About United Kingdom

Cardiff has a rich history that you can discover through a visit of its 2000 years old castle in the heart of the city. Nearby the castle stands a modern symbol of the rugby world: the Millennium Stadium which welcomed, among other events, the rugby world cup. If you are fond of art you should rush to the Welsh National Museum to feast your eyes with one of the most beautiful collections of Impressionist paintings. Cardiff offers a splendid waterfront, the Cardiff Bay, where you can let yourself be tempted by water-based attractions. You will finally reach the Mermaid Quay: its large choice of restaurants with menus from around the world, lively pubs and stylish boutiques.

Train station(s)

Trains are a convenient way of reaching many towns and cities throughout Europe. The majority of cities in Europe have a minimum of one train station, while larger, more populated cities have two or more stations. Train stations, in general, are located in the heart of the city. Review the map below to get an idea of where the train station(s) in Cardiff can be found.

    Paddington to Cardiff | Matthew a. | 2015/01/23
"Off the plane at Heathrow and at Paddington in 60 mins. Nice and quick ticket pick up and onto the train easily. I travelled in offpeak which was very comfortable. I travelled back at a busier time which was not as easy with lugguage. However being in a major station close to good under connections provided very good value. "

"My daughter and I were more than satisfied with the journey. comfortable, quite and great value for money....even after converting from Australian dollars to pounds. Very impressed with the power outlets (we upgraded to first class). Polite and helpful staff, would recommend and use Great Western Railways again! Booked online from Australia! "
