Copenhagen, experience the danish way of life

Tivoli Gardens is the hub of Copenhagen’s cultural scene with live jazz and ornate mansions, but its fairground rides, including the terrifying Star Flyer, bring it firmly into the present. Drink in the sea air, tuck into fresh herring and browse the creations of classy modernist designers.

About Denmark

Culture and quality of life define the face of the Danish capital. Thus, Copenhagen is one of the world’s most environmentally friendly towns.

Since 2000, a bridge over the Baltic Sea connects Copenhagen to Malmö in Sweden. It has broadened the importance of this Scandinavian door toward the North. Alongside many harbours and beaches, Copenhagen is laden with huge parks, and a wide range of old and modern architecture.

Experiment the depths of the town through its underground or waterbuses, or simply with a bicycle, so you will look like a real Dane. And don’t forget to taste their hundredth of danish beers.

Train station(s)

Trains are a convenient way of reaching many towns and cities throughout Europe. The majority of cities in Europe have a minimum of one train station, while larger, more populated cities have two or more stations. Train stations, in general, are located in the heart of the city. Review the map below to get an idea of where the train station(s) in Copenhagen can be found.

    Stockholm to Copenhagen | Phoebe Helen w. | 2015/07/01
"We were very happy that we travelled 1st class and we enjoyed the trip through the Swedish countryside. The only downside was that the train stopped out of the station in Copenhagen and the lift wasn't working so we had to lug our suitcases up a flight of stairs. The complimentary SIM card was gratefully received, thank you. "

    A nice way to travel | David g. | 2014/09/26
"The train journey was a nice relaxing way to get from Helsinki to Stockholm and took the stress out of arriving at the airport well ahead of a flight. I booked first class tickets, which as a surprise, afforded the opportunity to use the 'First Class Lounge' facilities prior to departure. The lounge was very comfortable and here were plenty of food and beverage options available to the lounge guests. Business travellers were also well catered for. If you are travelling as a couple and want seats side-by-side, make sure you stipulate this at time of booking. Unfortunately I was allocated two seats, one behind the other and my partner and I had to sit separately. If you are a tourist make sure you request a window seat as these appeared to be allocated to business travellers who weren't interested in the scenery - unlike me. Overall a very pleasant and confortable way to travel. I'd certainly do it all again. "

    Timing | Alexander m. | 2014/07/19
"Arrive early as trains run on their time and depart early or as it appears, when they wish. "

  • A long ride on the longest day | Noelene k. | 2014/07/08
"We travelled Zuerich to Hamburg, then Hamburg to Copenhagen on the longest day of the year...21 June. A splendid train and very fast in the bright sunlight. It was even more exciting when the train went on the ferry between Germany and unexpected pleasure. "

    Train cancelled | Peter h. | 2014/07/04
"This train was cancelled at very last minute due to track problems in Germany (apparently). It was very disconcerting to have this happens with no notice...but these things happen. However the Amsterdam officials handled it quite well and we were given good overnight accommodation, and then I travelled the next day via 3 separate connections which all worked fine. So I was quite pleased how the situation was handled in the end. "

    Copenhagan - Stockholm by Rail | George b. | 2014/05/12
"Roomy carriage, plenty of leg room and reasonable space to store luggage. Laptop plug in, table for food and computer/games with Wi-Fi access available. I would have liked a faster train (ie shorter journey). "

    Training from copenhagen  | Julien h. | 2013/11/24
"The first trip from copenhagen to stockholm was good except we got on the train without reservations. Learnt from then on to make sure we had reservations on the main trips. No problems. Always on time. Very comfortable and always spoke in their language, finishing with English. Will be using the train system again soon. "

    Copenhagen to Stockholm | Louise m. | 2013/11/08
"Train was very comfortable. Unfortunately the train had a power failure and we were delayed quite a lot. This was obviously unplanned however more announcements in English would have helped. Before the delay there were plenty of English announcements and then once delayed there was no more English announcements. We needed to ask someone on the train what was going on. "

modern fast train first class  | Wendy s. | 2013/11/03
"Big improvement on the overnight service but the unfriendly stewards seem to be a regular feature of first class travel, free coffee and free wi -fi , but watch out for problems with new apple IOS, also delayed "
