Düsseldorf, get disguised for its joyful carnival!

Luxury and lifestyle take centre stage in Düsseldorf with its Königsallee shopping boulevard and the spectacular MediaHarbour, designed by international star architects.

About Germany

The elegant, fun-loving city on the Rhine stands for fashion, shopping, culture and extraordinary events. Great international designers present themselves on Königsallee, one of the most luxurious shoppers’ paradises in Europe.

From there, it is just a few steps to the old town with more than 260 pubs and restaurants. The Rhine embankment promenade, one of Düsseldorf’s most popular meeting points, leads to the MediaHarbour with the buildings designed by internationally renowned architects such as Frank O’Gehry. Annual big events, such as the Japan-Festival and the Jazz Rally attract hundreds of thousands.

    Great train trip | Roberto c. | 2014/05/26
"We recently travelled on the Thalys train from Germany to Paris. It was a great way to travel within Europe thereby avoiding ariports and some of the hassles associated with air travel. The overall experience was great, the only thing to watch out for is that you don't get given a lot of time at some stations to board the train, which is an issue when you are travelling with a lot of luggage and an infant. Other than that the journey was great, on board facilities and service were excellent, and the staff were all very friendly. "
