Libourne, a pleasant town to live in, in the Aquitaine region

Libourne is located in the southwestern part of France. This city grouping together around 40.000 inhabitants was built on the confluence of the Isle and the Dordogne river, in the heart of the famous vineyard of Bordeaux’ region.

About France

The privileged location of Libourne makes this city a great touristic place. Libourne’s city centre is worthwhile thanks to the town hall located in the charming Abel Surchamp square. This building houses the fine arts museum.

You can also walk on the quays along the two rivers and admire the old port tower. This region is well known for its vines, and you can find close to Libourne many famous appellations such as Saint Emilion or Pomerol. Numerous cellars invite you to visit the domain and to taste their famous wines.

You are only one hour away from the sea, and you can share your time between swimming and enjoying the wonderful monuments and lanscapes around Libourne.

    only 1 problem | Susan g. | 2013/09/30
"We enjoyed travelling around France by train and definitely prefer it to plane. The only problem we struck was when trying to print this ticket at the station. I had all the information with me concerning "Print at the station" but stumbled at the first step - could not find the button to choose the language. Luckily had allowed sufficient time and luckily also found a station attendant who was very helpful and did it for us. "
