Padua is a city of art. Donatello left a legacy of sculptures and Giotto a masterpiece fresco. Pilgrims flock to Saint Anthony’s corpse in the 14th-century basilica. Padua university is one of Europe’s oldest, dating back to 1222, lending the city a spirit of scholarly youthfulness.

"Travelling by the Trenitalia Frecciabianca train between Padua and Florence was convenient and comfortable. We had reserved seats (booked through RailEurope). The train was on time and covered the distance in 97 minutes. S.M. Novella station is centrally located in Florence. The high speed train is an excellent way to travel between major towns and cities in Italy. "

"Had an excellent, comfortable trip from Paris to Munich. There was ample space for luggage, and a powerpoint to charge my phone/laptop. Food was served at my seat, and the meal was included in the price of the ticket - very convenient! "
