About France

Discover Reims most popular landmarks. The Notre-Dame Cathedral, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a masterpiece of 13th century Gothic art. This magnificent building is decorated with more than 2,300 sculptures, including the famous Smiling Angel and has stained-glass windows designed by Chagall. As for the Palace of Tau, it is also a UNESCO World Heritage site and was the former residence of the bishops and archbishops of Reims. Don’t miss a visit to the impressive Saint-Remi Basilica, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Did you know that you can visit the Foujita Chapel, which was offered to Leonard Foujita in 1965. The latter was a Buddhist and Japanese by birth, who experienced an outburst of faith for Catholicism when visiting the Basilica of Sain-Remi in Reims.

Taste local delights such as Jambon de Reims, a shoulder of ham seasoned with Champagne; the famou biscuit rose de Reims, a pink biscuit; and a Sorbet au Marc de Champagne.

Use your time in Reims to get to know more about Champagnes. Have a Champagne house visit. There are many well-known houses to choose from: Pommery, Taittinger, Mercier, Mumm, Canard-Duchene, to name just a few.
