Zaragoza, the multifaceted spanish city.

Zaragoza is a city located in northern Spain, in the Autonomous Community of Aragon. This city was built on the two banks of the Ebre river and preserves many remains of all the civilizations that followed one another in this attractive region.

About Spain

The cathedral of San Salvador, also called the Seo, presents many architectural styles but is mostly gothic style. It houses a huge collection of tapestries from french or flemish gothic artwork.

The Aljaferia Palace also deserves to be seen. This arab fortress built during the 11th century offers an unforgettable visit. The Nuestra Señora del Pilar basilic houses a wooden gothic statue of the Virgin. The Pilar’s feast in October is one of the most important Patronal Feast of the country.

Zaragoza also has numerous interesting museums, such as the Camón Aznar museum presenting paintings from the 15th to the 20th century in a wonderful Renaissance style residence.
