What’s the matter?
Zermatt, have a breath of fresh Swiss air!
Dark chocolate-coloured medieval barns reinvented as contemporary chalets cluster in the shadows of the Matterhorn mountain in Zermatt, a town where the only traffic noise comes from electric taxis and horse-drawn carriages.
Situated at 1620 meters close to the border with Italy, and not so far from France, this Swiss town is renowned for its skiing and hiking possibilities.
A couple of mountains and areas surround Zermatt. First, you can access to the Sunnegga Paradise ski area (3103 m) thanks to a funicular. That’s the place with the most sunny weather. Second, there is the Gornegrat mountain (3089 m), which you can reach by a train. The Riffelalp station at the summit holds resort, restaurants and shopping facilities. Then you might also enjoy the Klein Matterhorn and Schwarzsee area, south of Zermatt.
You know for sure, that you’re in for some refreshing air and breath taking landscapes when in Zermatt.

"Used the pass to travel from Zurich to Lindau ( switzerland - germany ) After boarding the train the conductor advised us that we have to pay an additional fee because for TWO MINUTES we are travelling through Austria. An additional SFR 42 per person was the cost . I think in the future you should advise purchasers that they should check carefully in case their train strays for a very short distance into a country which is not included in the pass "
