Where shall I go?
This might seem like a difficult question to answer, with over 15,000 destinations to choose from, but we are here to help. Rail Europe has put together some great information on the European destinations we have on our network. Take a look at the maps and our tips and city guides and our most popular itineraries, to give you some ideas to plan your perfect train trip.
We have access to over 15,000 destinations across Europe with our extensive network. If you want to explore France, we can help you get tickets for the TGV. If you want to see the castles of Germany, we will put you on the ICE trains. For a surfing adventure in Spain take the AVE and check out the Spanish Renfe timetable on our website.
We can help you with tickets on the Eurostar to Eurodisney, London, Paris and Brussels. From Brussels we can book you onto the high speed red Thalys trains to explore Belgium and The Netherlands. We can whisk you from the Eiffel Tower to Lake Geneva on the TGV Lyria or from The Eternal City of Rome to the Amalfi Coast on Trenitalia’s Frecciarossa high speed trains. So don’t worry about which train - we have it covered.
Which rail pass should I get?
Good question. That all depends on where you are planning to visit. If you are just travelling from one city to another – say from London to Paris then you won’t need a pass at all.
The best option for this type of journey is a point to point ticket. But if you want to explore more of Europe then you have a few choices. Rail Europe has single country passes so you can get to know one country really well.
For example if you want to explore Spain then get the Eurail Spain Pass and enjoy the AVE on the Spanish Renfe network. You can see a whole list of our country passes on the website. Now, if you are planning on visiting a few countries we have other options. For example you might want to explore Scandinavia or Benelux. Well we have rail passes for that.
Or a more flexible option is the Eurail Select Pass which allows you to visit three, four or five bordering countries. For the ultimate flexibility and freedom check out our Eurail Global Pass which means you can visit 24 countries in Europe.
As you can see – Europe really is at your feet with Rail Europe.
