Frankfurt Central station also known as Frankfurt am Main Hauptbahnhof, is one of the most important and busiest railway stations in Germany. There are more than a thousand trains which arrive and depart from the Frankfurt Central station every day. The trains link Frankfurt with local destinations as well as international destinations. Over 350,000 travellers transit through the railway station daily. As a consequence of such an important flow of trains and passengers, Frankfurt Central station is dotted with 5 departure halls.

ICE trains, the long distance high speed train, serve the Frankfurt Central station with connections to Frankfurt Airport (Frankfurt Flughafen). Long distance night trains depart from Frankfurt Central to reach Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Berlin or Prague.
