Lourdes, a small town and a world-renowned place of spirituality for people of Christian faith, is located in the Midi Pyrenees region in southern France. The rich history of Lourdes can be resumed to the history of Bernadette Soubirous, a 14 year-old local girl, who in 1858, claimed that a pretty lady appeared to her in the Grotto of Massabielle. This lady told her that she was the Immaculate Conception, and the faithful ones believed her to be the Blessed Virgin Mary. The lady appeared miraculously for 18 times. Since then, Lourdes has become an important place where history, spirituality and a beautiful landscape mix together. Every year, millions of visitors from around the world come to pray in the Sanctuaries of Our Lady of Lourdes. It is the 3rd place of Christian pilgrimage in terms of frequentation, a place where people of different cultures come together and share a common goal: the pursuance of spirituality. The Marian city is also the ideal starting point from which to explore the Pyrenees Mountains. Learn more about Lourdes

"Excellent trip. Thank you. "

"We traveled with our 10 year old son who is in a wheelchair. While the trip was very comfortable when on board, and the food was generally well priced and available most of the trip, there was no assistance available to help us negotiate stairs/baggage/wheelchair needs. We found that we had to specifically ask for support, even though it was obvious we needed some assistance. May I suggest a dedicated carriage with an extendable ramp and staff trained and willing to support wheelchair passengers? Thank you. "
